Recycling - Where does it go?

At Fresh Start, our expertise in recycling and garbage helps our customers clean their space of unwanted items while limiting their impact on the environment by donating and recycling as much as possible before heading to the landfill.

Computer Donations and Electronic Part Recycling
Computers (P3, G3 and up), scanners, monitors (17" and up), software and printers are donated to BC Digital Divide, a volunteer organization that puts computers in the hands of needy children and families in BC.

Non-useable computers and electronic parts are recycled in
many different and local ways right here in Vancouver. We take material to different depots depending on where the materials originate. More information is available at the Encorp website http://www.encorp.ca/electronics/productrecycling
or http://www.encorp.ca/electronics/

Garden Waste Recycling
"Green" loads from gardening calls aren't just dumped at the landfill - we take what we can to the appropriate part of the landfill so materials can be turned into compost.

Concrete, tile, rock
Concrete, tile, soil, and rock are recycled to be used for
clean fill in upcoming development projects.

One of our clients that exemplifies commitment to the environment through their concrete recycling is Solus Décor http://www.solusdecor.com/

Drywall
Drywall gets recycled through New West Gypsum.
